Art Day at Mom's Work

One of the high schools I work at hosted a community art event that was super family friendly. Arthur's been to work with his Dad many times, but now he got to play at Mom's work!

First up, he made the most impractical plate ever in the ceramics studio.
It has several holes and is covered in green and blue glaze. Once it's fired, I can come pick it up.

The introductory Art class spent the last weeks making large cardboard play items.
Arthur especially loved the drum set.
The cardboard play house was also a favorite.
He decorated an elephant mask.
And he left more art on the chalkboard in my office.

Wheeeeeeeeeeee!

After we got done with the indoor fun, Arthur wanted to play outside.
The school is right on the bank of the Chicago River, so he got some nature time.
His favorite artistic medium of the day was the sandy dirt.
