Adventures in ABQ: Indian Pueblo Cultural Center

In the 16th and 17th century, missionaries designated a saint for each pueblo.

This exhibit honored the accomplishments of Native women.

This beautiful sculpture accompanied a map of the pueblos.

This exhibit on Native dances didn't fully prepare me for the reality.

The Acoma Pueblo dancers were amazing.

It was at least 90 degrees and they were in full sun, dancing for a half hour.

So beautiful! I was fortunate to be able to witness this culture in action.
